Alison Law, Host

Alison Law, host of Literary AtlantaAlison Law is an unapologetic book pusher, author enabler, and the host of Literary Atlanta. She is a professional writer, publicist, and marketing and media consultant.

Over two different years, Alison served as associate program director of the AJC Decatur Book Festival, one of the nation’s largest independent book festivals.

A native Tennessean who moved every two years in her previous career as a broadcast journalist, Alison adopted Atlanta as her hometown in 2000. She lives here with her husband, Zach, and their two over-photographed black cats, Scatman and Soy.

David Markowitz, Executive Producer of Literary AtlantaDavid Markowitz, Executive Producer

David Markowitz is co-founder and executive producer of Zero Mile Media, the company that produces the Literary Atlanta Podcast. David is an award-winning audiobook director and producer who’s been at the forefront of the creation of new digital audio experiences and the creation of new markets for over 20 years. He regularly consults for startups in the audio and podcasting space on production and business development. He’s also the Head of Strategy and Partnerships at ListenUp Audio.

Sean Powers, Literary Atlanta ProducerSean Powers, Producer

Sean Powers is a producer for Literary Atlanta. He is also a producer and reporter for “On Second Thought,” a daily show from Georgia Public Broadcasting in Atlanta. He’s a native of Chicago with a journalism degree from the University of Missouri. His reporting has earned him many AP awards, two Edward R. Murrow awards, five PRNDI awards, and a first place for best use of sound from the Atlanta Press Club. Sean also mentors teenage journalists who report for VOX Teen Communications in Atlanta.
